Who we are
Ragxen Commute (“we”) provides cab and bus tracking software to travel operators, companies and schools (“organisations”). The organisation that added you decides how your transport is run; we process your information on its behalf to provide the service. Questions: support@ragxen.com.
What we collect
- Account details your organisation provides: name, phone number, email, employee or student code, department, and the route and stop you use.
- Driver location: while a driver has a trip running, the driver's phone shares its location (including in the background) so passengers can see the cab. Sharing stops when the trip ends.
- Passenger location: only if you press SOS, your location at that moment and while the SOS screen stays open. We don't track passengers otherwise.
- Trip records: when the cab reached and left each stop, who boarded or didn't show up, your optional “I'm in” answers, ratings and incident reports.
- Device information: a notification token so we can send trip alerts, and basic app diagnostics.
How we use it
To show live cab positions and arrival times, send trip notifications (cab on the way, close by, at your stop), let drivers manage passengers, handle SOS and safety incidents, and give your organisation reports about its transport. We don't sell personal information or use it for advertising.
Who can see it
- Your organisation's transport team (and, for operators, the client company you travel for).
- Your driver sees passenger names, phone numbers and stops for their trip. Passengers see the cab, the driver's name and phone, and only their own stop, never other passengers' stops.
- Service providers that run parts of the service for us: hosting, maps (OpenStreetMap-based maps, Google Maps and Apple Maps), SMS verification (Phone.Email), sign-in with Google or Apple if you use them, and push notifications (Expo, Apple, Google).
How long we keep it
GPS trails are deleted when a trip ends, except for trips with an SOS, where the trail from 10 minutes before the SOS is kept as a safety record. Trip records, incidents and notifications are kept for 90 days. Account details are kept while your organisation keeps you on the service.
Your choices and rights
You can turn off notifications and location permission in your phone's settings (drivers need location to run trips). To see, correct or delete your information, contact your organisation's transport desk or write to us at support@ragxen.com. If your organisation removes you, your account stops working.
Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections. Passwords are stored as one-way hashes. Access inside an organisation is limited by role.
Children
For schools, student accounts are created and managed by the school, usually used by a parent. We collect only what the school provides to run transport.
Changes
We'll update this page if our practices change and show the new date above.
